Glamour Express mobile tanning offers two amazing solution types. Regular and Rapid Tans
After getting your spray tan you will need to wait a certain amount of time and then rinse the solution off .
REGULAR TANS have a wait time of 8 hours. Clients will get their spray tan in the morning and then wait to rinse 8 hours later. Most clients will get their tan done late in the evening and "sleep" in their tan. They will rinse first thing in the morning. Wake up to a beautiful tan! When "sleeping" in your tan, you do need to be careful you don't sweat. I do recommend sleeping with a towel underneath.
RAPID TAN / EXPRESS TAN This solution is for clients who don't or can't wait to wait 8 hours to rinse. You can rinse in as little as 1 hour, with a maximum 4 hour wait time. Although you have the convenience of rinsing faster, the tan will still take 8 hours to develop. When you rinse you will be left with little or no color. Don't be alarmed. Your tan will continue to develop afterwards. Rapid tans are totally customizable to suit your desired shade. The longer you leave it on the darker you get. *Remember 4 hours is max! After that your color will be a unnatural, unfavorable color.
1 Hour/Light. 2 Hours/Medium. 3 hours/Medium-Dark. 4 hours/ Dark
With both solutions your tan will fully develop and you will see complete results 8-12 hours after. Some clients will get a little darker the second day. Everyone is different and picks up color differently. I encourage clients to try different types and see which one they prefer. I carry a couple of different strengths and types of solution. I help you pick a color that suits our skin tone and the desired color you want to achieve.
How long does spray tan last? Anywhere from 5-10 days. It varies from person to person. If your skin is fairly normal, not too dry and you moisturize daily it will last longer. If your skin is dry your tan may fade faster and you may need to moisturize twice a day.
Whether you want a light glow or a deep bronzed tan appointments are easy!

Sunless spray tanning is a bronzing solution containing DHA applied with a airbrush or HVLP tanning system. It is completely UV free, no harmful sun rays and is quick and easy! DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is a colorless chemical that interacts with the amino acids in dead skin cells to produce a brown color change. Since these dead skin cells are constantly being shed the color change will usually last up to 10 days depending on the individual person. The tanning solution is FDA and FD&C approved. DHA is not absorbed through the skin into the body and has no known toxicity. It is derived from plant and fruit sources such as sugar beets, sugar cane and fermentation of glycerin. Each spray tan session is customized for each individual client. Depending on skin tone and desired color client wants to achieve.
Instructions / Before and after care is the secret to a longer lasting even tan.
BEFORE Spray Tan: To get the most of your tan it is important to follow a couple of steps.
*Shower, shave, and exfoliate before your spray tan session. Prepping the day/night before is preferred. If you cannot, one hour before minimum is fine. Showering, shaving and exfoliating right before can affect the ph balance of your skin and can leave open pores. Prepping the day/night before is best.
*Exfoliate to remove dead skin cells, paying extra attention to your knees, elbows, ankles and neck or any known dry areas.
You may use a loufa, scrub or just exfoliate very well with a wash cloth. You do not need to use any special exfoliates, water and a quality scrub is perfect.
*You can also continue to exfoliate after your shower with the towel you are using to dry. Just apply a bit more pressure than usual.
*Do NOT wear any lotion, moisturizers, perfume, or makeup. These items can create a barrier between the solution and your skin. The solution will not absorb properly and can cause a uneven or blotchy tan . Do not exfoliate with oily body scrubs.
AFTER Tan Session: Wear loose dark clothes. Tight clothes may cause friction an affect out come of your tan.
When it is time for your to rinse use water only. Make sure your rinse thoroughly and evenly. do not forget any body parts. Take your hand and rub very lightly on all the places with creases such as under arms, neck, back of legs, knees and feet. *Make sure you wash the palms of your hands with soap after.
*Moisturizing daily is important. If your are extra dry moisturize twice a day. I recommend AVENO or HEMPZ lotion. I also carry moisturizers that also work as tan extenders so you get more out of your tan.
Tan Tips There are things you can do to help keep your tan looking great for as long as possible.
*Following the prep and after care instructions will be the best thing you can do.
*Washing with a shower gel is best. Typically shower gels that are very fragrant don't agree with spray tans and may fade tan faster. Bar soaps especially DOVE can strip tan.
*Shaving your legs only when necessary. When you know you will be showing them off!
*Wash lightly and do not scrub or exfoliate while you have your tan.
*After showering pat dry, do not rub.
*Don't get in the pool for long periods of time. Go in for short periods of time.
*If you exercise and sweat pat dry and remove wet cloths as soon as possible.
*Hydrate. Drinking plenty of water helps keep skin moisturized.
*Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!
*Your tan will eventually get lighter and start to fade. It will be time to exfoliate and get ready for your next tan.
Tanning for a special occasion. Glamour Express is a bridal tan specialist. I recommend getting your tan 2 days before your special event. This will give you a day for your tan to develop and rinse. The next day shower and shave as usual.
Your tan will be at its optimum the second day. If you are a bride or have a special occasion you are tanning for, I strongly recommend a trial tan.
